Academic Advising

Advising – Where to Start

Initial Steps

To identify your assigned academic advisor, log into iROAR. Select Student-Self Service. Select Student Profile. Your academic advisor’s name will be listed in the bottom left corner.

All students are required to meet with their assigned academic advisor at least once per term. It is best to schedule an appointment with your assigned academic advisor before registration. They are the only person who will provide you with your registration PIN, which allows you to register for classes! Even outside of the pre-registration advising period, this individual is the primary person who will support you regarding all undergraduate advising needs.

To schedule an appointment with your assigned academic advisor, log into CU Navigate. You may be able to schedule your appointment with them through the CU Navigate platform. Typically, you will look for appointments labeled “General Advising” or “Pre-registration Advising.” Some academic advisors have more appointment types for you to choose from. If you do not see the option to schedule an appointment with your assigned academic advisor, contact them via email to identify the best way to schedule an appointment.

Be sure to check your Clemson email account. Your advisor may reach out and provide a specific list of steps you must complete before your advising appointment. Completion of these steps is the best way to prepare for your appointment.
