Lara M. Browning is the Senior Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Landscape Architecture at Clemson University’s School of Architecture. With a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Wellesley College, she specializes in sustainable landscapes, green infrastructure, and urban design. Browning has held academic roles at Virginia Tech and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as professional positions in landscape design and ecological restoration. Her work integrates design, community engagement, and environmental planning, earning her awards such as the Dean’s Outstanding Lecturer Award at Clemson and CELA’s Excellence in Service Learning Award. Committed to education and sustainability, she continues to shape the future of landscape architecture through research, teaching, and service-learning projects.
