Scott Rawlings, AIA, FACHA, is a Lecturer in Architecture + Health [A+H] at Clemson University. Scott is a registered architect in multiple states including SC. He practiced for over 30 years in healthcare design with some of the country's leading architectural firms, serving as either partner in charge or global leader of healthcare for the past 20 years. His scholarly focus is centered on fostering innovation in design and planning through the lens of the human experience by exploring the impact on wellness through systems and materials. His design process has been shaped by his professional career practicing both here in the US and internationally. He is board certified by the American College of Healthcare Architects where he was a founding member of the College, recognized as a Fellow and served on their national board. He also served on the national board of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health, serving as National President in 2005 and is an active member of the HCD Editorial Advisory Board. He has published over 50 articles and/or lectures on healthcare design and lectured at multiple Universities.
