After completing his M.Arch degree at Clemson University, Bert Nash has worked in both professional architecture practice and teaching. He is currently an Architect at ARIO Studio in Travelers Rest, SC, where he develops thoughtful design responses, leads construction administration, and helps set firm-wide standards for documentation and professional practice. Previously, he worked for Garvin Design Group in Columbia. There he contributed to design and project delivery across all phases working on several Clemson projects and feasibility studies. He also served as Adjunct Faculty at Midlands Technical College, introducing drafting and design thinking to first-year students and refining curriculum to emphasize storytelling and presentation. During his graduate studies, as a Teaching & Research Assistant, he supported the Architecture Minor program abroad, co-developed a digital resource for students studying architecture overseas, and assisted across architecture, art, and landscape programs in the materials lab. His professional background also includes construction management for Ashbrook Construction, coordination of complex façade system installations, and CNC/fabrication work through technician roles.
