Gavin Axson is Director of Business Development at Brasfield & Gorrie, one of the nation's largest privately held construction firms, where he has built his entire 23-year career. A Clemson MBA alumnus, Gavin brings a rare combination of deep construction expertise and business acumen to the intersection of real estate development and the built environment.

Over his career, Gavin has led project management and preconstruction efforts on multiple projects across the Carolinas, spanning healthcare, mixed-use, commercial, higher education, and industrial sectors. His work includes landmark developments such as the Project ONE towers and the Camperdown Mixed-Use Development in downtown Greenville, the Memorial Stadium Renovations and Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center at Clemson, Arthrex, and multiple projects for Prisma Health and Bon Secours St. Francis—reflecting the complexity and scale of today's real estate development landscape.

Gavin's expertise in budget development, value analysis, constructability review, and subcontractor market knowledge gives him a ground-level understanding of what drives—and threatens—real estate project feasibility. He has guided owners, developers, and project teams from early concept through construction documents, translating development vision into buildable, financeable reality.

An Upstate South Carolina native and active community leader, Gavin holds a B.S. in Building Science from Auburn University ('01) and an MBA from Clemson University ('03). He holds an unlimited South Carolina General Contractor license and serves on the ABC Carolinas Board of Directors and the YMCA of Greenville Foundation Board. He was recognized as a Leadership Greenville Distinguished Alumni in 2023.
