Advanced Computing and Data Services
Part of CCIT’s Research Computing and Data Engagement (RCDE) group, the Advanced Computing and Data Services (ACDS) team comprises a highly motivated team of research computing facilitation staff with extensive experience in areas such as high-performance computing, high-throughput computing, high-performance networking, data access/storage and software environments.
What We Do
ACDS is a user-facing team that provides research computing support to researchers leveraging CCIT RCD’s vast computing resources. Our services include consultations, workshops, training resources, documentation, software installation/management, proposal review, and guidance for effectively utilizing Clemson's Palmetto HPC Cluster.
Meet the ACDS Director

Matt Moersen
Matt Moersen is the Interim Director of the ACDS team within Clemson University's Research Computing and Data Engagement (RCDE) group at CCIT. In this role, he helps Clemson's students, faculty, and staff make the most of the University's high-performance computing (HPC) resources in support of their research. He joined the team as a Research Computing Facilitator in 2022, after previously working at CCIT from 2014 to 2021. Matt holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Biomedical Data Science and Informatics (BDSI), both from Clemson.
