RCD Infrastructure
The RCD Infrastructure (RCDI) team consists of highly specialized IT professionals who are responsible for the installation and maintenance of hardware, storage and systems software for research computing resources. This includes the Palmetto II HPC System, Indigo Data Lake and other research computing equipment and systems located in the ITC data center. The RCDI team also provides site support for national resources such as NSF CloudLab, NSF FABRIC and the National Research Platform (NRP)
The RCDI team works closely with the Engagement teams to provide the best possible solutions for Clemson’s computational research faculty and students.
What We Do
RCDI is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of research computing resources such as the Palmetto II HPC system and Indigo Data Lake.
The team also provides consultations to faculty to procure hardware and systems to meet research needs and provides site support for the hosting of computational research resources in the Information Technology Center (ITC) datacenter.
