Mentoring

Communities of Practice Mentoring

Are you looking to raise your personal bar while growing collectively within the field of Educational Interpreting? Do you have a network of colleagues that support your vulnerability in the field while encouraging professional authenticity?

Are there questions that leave you pondering who do I turn to for that? Am I reinventing the wheel when another school system has done this already?

If you're interested in looking at Interpreting as a practice profession that requires practice, please consider joining your respective mentoring group to address these questions and more. We will be utilizing research articles, best practice philosophies, EIPA result guided discussions, community input, and hands up, eyes on practice to improve ourselves.

All Mentoring sessions will occur virtually with options to meet the needs of interested parties with emphasis given to modeling multiple learning styles. Multi-media platforms, cross cultural inclusion, EIPA driven content, and student lead discussions will be a few approaches utilized to spearhead our objectives.
