Give your teen the confidence to babysit safely. The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Class from Clemson University Fire & EMS teaches youth ages 11–15 essential caregiving skills, emergency response and pediatric CPR/First Aid in a hands-on, in-person setting.

Class Details

Clemson University Fire & EMS offers the Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program to help young teens build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to become safe, responsible and successful babysitters. This class is ideal for both first-time babysitters and those looking to strengthen their childcare skills before taking on regular babysitting jobs in the community.

In addition to babysitting safety fundamentals, this class includes Pediatric First Aid, Pediatric CPR, and AED training and certification. Instruction is delivered through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on practice, allowing students to actively practice life-saving skills in a supportive learning environment.

    • Note: Lunch is NOT included. Students will need to bring a packed lunch.
