Clemson Extension agents with primary agronomic responsibilities work closely with state extension specialists and researchers located on campus and at the various research and education centers located across the state. They provide expertise on topics such as production, pest management, harvesting, and post-harvesting processes for commodities such as soybeans, corn, and tobacco.

Initial Private Pesticide Applicator Certification Course

The Initial Private Pesticide Applicator Certification course is self-paced, online course developed by Clemson Extension. In this course, there are thirteen units that will prepare you for the exam. The final unit will provide a pesticide labeling exercise similar to the one on the exam. The course is self-paced and will take up to four hours to complete. The exam is proctored through Remote Proctor Now. Upon passing the exam, the Clemson Department of Pesticide Regulation will issue a private pesticide applicator's license.
