Mission Statement

Expeditions is committed to increasing the awareness of environmental issues, promoting the understanding of biological diversity, ecology, and biology, explaining the importance of achieving a balance between nature and mankind to create a sustainable environment, and illustrating the diversity of the natural and cultural resources in South Carolina and the resulting global interconnections.

 Vision Statement

Expeditions will become a dynamic national model by:

• Expanding its educational mission through partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
• Incorporating research teaching, and service to empower volunteers and youth to influence change in their communities and environments
• Providing experiential learning opportunities, curriculum development, program delivery, and environmental conservation projects
