Big School Spirit, Small-School Feel

Patrick Westbrook, secondary education '25, grew up in Edgefield, South Carolina, and never expected to attend a university as big as Clemson. However, between his job on the Clemson Football team, being selected for Teaching Fellows at Clemson, and the opportunity to get connected through Fellowship of Christian Athletes, he found a tight-knit community that made campus feel like home.

Patrick's Main Takeaways From Clemson

  • Work Ethic
  • Time Management
  • Focus on Serving Others

“Something that I have learned a lot throughout college, whether that's through my classes, or through FCA, or through football, is how important it is to have people around you that care about you and are going to build you up.

"The guys at football, we spend so much time together that those guys become your brothers. Being able to go through that with those guys for four years now and having some of them become my best friends is cool.”
