Tigers Make Life-Changing Impact

Each of us pursues significance in our own way at Clemson — through relationships, academics, athletics and service.

For Will McPhail ’27, a financial management and marketing double major from Stow, Massachusetts, that looked like becoming the captain for the Sales Competition Team, serving as a recruitment ambassador for the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, and traveling to New York City with the Clemson Financial Horizons program to visit leading financial firms and connect with alumni working in the field.

A male student wearing khaki pants, a white button-down shirt and a navy blazer with an orange Tiger Paw lapel pin stands in an academic building with a stock ticker illuminated in the background.

Get involved. The more you get involved, the more you’re going to meet people and make connections and make friends that could last a lifetime. It’s just going to open more doors.

We Are United Through Time-Honored Traditions

Our campus and our culture are steeped in history. We follow in the footsteps of Tigers who came before us, working hard and celebrating big — in Death Valley, on Bowman Field, inside Cooper Library and, sometimes, even on the dance floor.

Student Alumni Council helped me get really connected to the University because I get to help out with traditions. My favorite Clemson tradition is the Welcome Back Festival. It’s a great way for students to get to know the city of Clemson and each other.

“I have accepted a job offer from LPL Financial, where I’ll be doing a rotational program with them on project management, software design and AI. ... At the same time, I’ve always been interested in consulting, so I’d say in the future I see myself on more of the business tech side of industrial engineering.”
Ava Joiner,
industrial engineering ’25
