Su-I Chen holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics. She has taught general linguistics, phonetics, and phonology in other universities in Taiwan and the U.S. before joining Clemson. She is currently a senior lecture of Chinese at Clemson University, teaching Chinese language and culture courses. In addition to teaching, she is the director of the language lab, the advisor for Language and International Business (Chinese) majors, the advisor for senior portfolios for all language majors, and the website master for the department of languages. Her research interests include pedagogy in Chinese language, films in language and culture classes, and application of technology in teaching.
