Stuart D. Whiteside, P.E., is President for the land design firm of Seamon, Whiteside & Associates, Inc. The firm, which began in 1985, provides land planning, civil engineering, landscape architecture and urban design services from its offices in Mount Pleasant, Summerville, and Greenville, South Carolina. He is a registered professional engineer and a graduate of Clemson University where he holds Masters and Bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering. Stuart has been actively involved in a number of community based professional organizations including the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce where he was Chairman of the Board in 2013.

Originally from Columbia, SC, Stuart and his wife Francie (Brunson) live in Mount Pleasant as do their three grown children, Cody, Sally, and Weezie. In addition to his work with the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Clemson University Advancement Board for Real Estate Development, he also serves on the Trident Technical College Foundation Board and the Charleston Regional Development Alliance Board.
