Ellory is a Principal Lecturer of Spanish from Hilton Head Island, SC. She earned an M.A. in Spanish from the University of South Carolina, where her thesis focused on the role of women in the Spanish surrealist movement. She first taught Beginning and Intermediate Spanish at Clemson for four years and returned to the university in 2017 after a two-year hiatus. Currently, she serves as Director of the Language and International Health Program and coordinates Spanish 2010. During her time at Clemson, she has also advised students in the Language and International Business, Language and International Health, and Modern Languages-Spanish programs; coordinated Spanish 2020 and the Latinx & Hispanic Film Series; and led study abroad programs in Ecuador and Spain. She directed the Clemson Language Immersion Program (CLIP) in Granada, Spain, in summer 2022 and has directed the program in Salamanca, Spain, annually since summer 2024. From fall 2022 through spring 2026, she served as Faculty-in-Residence for the Mickel and Gressette communities. In fall 2024, she launched Passport LLC, a Living-Learning Community for first-year students interested in exploring languages and cultures from around the world.
