Kenneth Tuite was trained as a Classical scholar and studies the intersection of material culture and Ancient Greco-Roman Literature. He specializes in the Greek historian Herodotus, who presents the fluidity of the physical, namely monuments and man-made objects, against the unchanging backdrop of the narrative. He draws upon his background in archaeology, numismatics, and historiography in the pursuit of this work.

Since coming to Clemson, Kenneth Tuite has also expanded his interests into the field of ancient love poetry. He has translated and compiled a collection of ancient love poems from Sappho to Ovid in Love and Literature in the Ancient World. He continues to develop this text and its commentary in order to make ancient literature more accessible to the Clemson student.

Kenneth Tuite is also a member of the Department of Languages at Clemson where he teaches Latin.
