Whitney Collins is the Vice President of Investments at AMCREF Community Capital, an impact-driven specialty finance firm supporting innovative businesses that create quality jobs, environmental benefits, and economic opportunities in their communities. AMCREF, a certified Community Development Entity (CDE), has invested more than $500 million of federal and state New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) enhanced-capital. These funds are used to finance environmentally-beneficial businesses based in low-income communities primarily in the Southern U.S. with a particular emphasis on rural communities. Prior to working at AMCREF, Whitney was the Program Manager of The Innovate Fund, a certified CDE, whose mission was to transform low-income communities across GA, NC, SC, and TN through the NMTC program by funding projects to create quality jobs and improve health and wellness outcomes. She holds both a master’s degree in Real Estate Development and a bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from Clemson University.
