Russ has spent his nearly 30 year career in the multifamily real estate business as developer, operator, financier and senior executive. During that time, he has been directly involved in the development and financing of over 50 apartment and condominium properties totaling over 10,000 units. In addition to those properties developed through Davis Property Group which he formed in 1998, Russ is also a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for Collegiate Hall Properties, LLC and Terwilliger, Davis and Leadbetter, LLC, which collectively developed market-rate and student projects in urban, infill locations. Prior to 1999, Russ was member of the management team at Merry Land and Investment Company in Augusta, Georgia, a $2 billion publicly traded real estate investment trust, developing operating strategies for their 35,000 apartments and in administering relationships with third-party apartment developers. Previously, Russ had been a long-time employee of Trammell Crow Residential where he held positions in the areas of finance, development and operations. He concluded his employment with TCR in 1996 as President and Chief Operating Officer of Trammell Crow Residential Services – Midwest.
