Taryn Turner has served as the Academic Advisor for the History Department since August, 2025. Taryn is a performing artist and travel enthusiast who graduated from Clemson with a degree in Performing Arts: Music. During her time at Clemson, she studied art history and drawing through a Clemson Study Abroad program in Italy, volunteered with GIVE Volunteers in Tanzania, and completed the Disney College Program with the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, Florida. She also worked as an Orientation Ambassador and Welcome Week Leader for Clemson's Center for Student Leadership and Engagement. Taryn's various roles in student affairs and extensive travel experience shaped her advising philosophy of encouraging students to seek hands-on experiences that stretch the limits of their comfort zones.
