Layne is Applied Lecturer of Percussion at Clemson University, where she teaches applied percussion lessons and works with the percussion ensemble. She currently serves as Senior Disbursement Manager with Ensemble Performing Arts, a vibrant community of independently run music and dance studios throughout the country. Previously, Layne served as Percussion Lecturer at Erskine College, Director of Percussion at Legacy Early College Elementary, and as Communications Officer for the South Carolina Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society. Layne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Clemson University in 2012 and her Master of Music degree from The Ohio State University in 2014. She has studied percussion with Susan Powell, Joseph Krygier, Paul Buyer, Mark Spede, and Bill Stowe. She actively performs throughout the Upstate.
