Rachel de Cuba is an interdisciplinary artist raised in Sebastian, FL. She received her BFA in Studio Art at Flagler College in 2013 continuing on to receive her MFA in Digital Art at Indiana University in 2019. She has received recognition for her interdisciplinary thesis work with Grant awards from Indiana University. In 2019 she was invited to create work for the New Orleans Film Festival with support from the Andy Warhol Foundation. Her curatorial practice led her to be a curator in residence for Black Vulture Projects in Paoli, IN focusing on contemporary art in rural spaces. In 2019 Rachel was invited to be the first artist in residence in Nashville, IN through the Grunwald Art Gallery with financial support from Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement. Rachel de Cuba is currently a member of Tiger Strikes Asteroid Greenville and the Provost Pathways Fellow in Art at Clemson University and lives in Anderson, South Carolina.
