Dr. Amy Ahui earned her D.M.A. in Piano Performance with a minor in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Georgia. Before joining the Performing Arts Department at Clemson University, she served as the Academic Specialist at Savannah State University. She is a former faculty member of the UGA Community Music School and Oconee Music in Watkinsville, GA. As a collaborative pianist, Dr. Ahui enjoys working with students and colleagues in a variety of ensemble settings and performing music in many different styles. She has a special interest in music by underrepresented composers and integrates these works into her performances when possible. Dr. Ahui is an active member of the South Carolina Music Teachers Association and has presented at the Georgia Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association conferences. Her recent performance highlights include appearances at Steinway Hall and Weill Recital Hall in New York City and the UGA Piano Pedagogy Symposium. Dr. Ahui holds a B.M. from Inner Mongolia University in China and an M.M. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
