Veterans Initiative

Land of the Free Because of the Brave

Clemson University and the Brook T. Smith Launchpad have an unwavering commitment to help Veterans pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. Several Initiatives specially designed to assist with this mission include:

The Blake Family Military & Veterans Pitch Competition

This is a national competition for our Military & Veteran certified startups on a Friday in November. it brings together veterans, active-duty service members, ROTC cadets, reservists, National Guard members, and their spouses. The exciting live, on-campus event will showcase innovative business ideas and give teams the opportunity to compete for seed funding to launch or grow their ventures, with one of the largest prize pools in the country. Application details available on Clemson's StartupTree.

Veterans Advisory Board

The Launchpad seeks and relies on guidance from a group of high character and highly accomplished Clemson affiliated veterans. We are proud to call them our friends and partners.
