Faculty Sponsored Research

FRESH boasts a multi-disciplinary RFP program that seeks research projects to develop solutions to keep food safe at each step of the food value chain. Companies can sponsor faculty research projects that will help them overcome challenges and meet goals. Your company can decide if results are proprietary or shared with the public.

Student Projects

Companies can sponsor a Creative Inquiry, which is the imaginative combination of engaged learning, cross-disciplinary interactions and undergraduate research that is unique to Clemson University. Team-based investigations are led by faculty mentors and typically span a year or more. Students take on problems that spring from their own curiosity, from a professor's challenge or from the pressing needs of the world around them. These invaluable experiences produce exceptional graduates.

Companies sponsoring Capstone/Senior Design Projects provide a project description, sponsor a student team and interact with the team over the course of a semester as the students elicit requirements, develop specifications, implement and test. Sponsors are invited to a final project presentation/demo day and may choose to pursue further interactions via summer internships or follow-on projects.
