Sensory Lab

The newly renovated Sensory Lab serves as a dedicated Service Center for industry partners seeking sensory and consumer insights. The facility features eight individual panelist booths equipped with precision-controlled multi-option LED lighting to ensure consistent testing conditions. The lab supports a wide range of sensory and consumer research, providing partners with reliable data to inform product development, reformulation, and market positioning. In addition to industry services, the facility also supports coursework and student- and faculty-led research, giving students hands-on experience with professional sensory evaluation methods.

Culinary Research Lab

The Culinary Research Lab serves as a key support facility for the Sensory Lab, specializing in the preparation of standardized samples for sensory evaluation projects. Equipped with commercial-grade equipment and flexible workspaces, the lab provides a controlled environment for precise formulation, preparation, and portioning of products prior to evaluation. By ensuring consistency in ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, the Culinary Research Lab helps maintain the accuracy and reproducibility required for high-quality sensory research.
