Students
Summer CI & UR is an up to ten-week summer research opportunity under the guidance of your mentor. This award provides summer salary for up to 28 hours per week during the program dates as well as the opportunity to attend several professional development events.
Eligibility:
- You are an undergraduate student enrolled at Clemson in Spring 2021 and will be in Fall 2021.
- You will not graduate before December 2021.
- You agree to participate during the entire program, May 17 to July 23, 2021.
- You agree to present your summer research at the Summer Showcase on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.
- You agree to submit an abstract for the presentation by July 23, 2021.
- You agree to submit the link to your digital poster presentation no later than August 12, 2021.
Before completing your application, please discuss this opportunity with your mentor to finalize your research plan and/or other relevant goals and objectives for this award.
This summer there are 65 Clemson students, freshmen through rising seniors, participating in the program.
All students have access to resources via Box.
Weekly lunch seminars will take place on Thursdays at 11AM. More information regarding seminars and access to past seminar recordings can be found on the CI + UR Seminar Series page.

- Abstracts for Summer Showcase are due no later than July 23, 2021.
- Links to digital posters and submission of final posters in Box no later than August 12, 2021.
- Presentation at the Summer Showcase on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 (11AM – 1PM).
