Area Desks

Area Desks are staffed 24/7 to assist residents with room keys and access concerns. Email clemsonhomeareadesk@clemson.edu with any questions regarding your room keys or temporary keys.

When checking in you will receive a key to your space. Keys are for individual rooms within a residential building or rooms within an apartment. All apartments (with the exception of Thornhill Village) have card readers for the exterior doors. Your issued key will not work on exterior apartment doors with card readers.

Lockouts

A Desk Assistant will provide you with a temporary key/eKey to access your space. Please return this key by 12 p.m. (noon) the next business day. Failure to return the key will result in a lock change and a $100 charge.

  • Broken keys

    A Desk Assistant will provide you with a temporary key to access your space. A replacement key will be made the following business day. You must return the temporary key to receive your new key.

  • Lost keys

    A Desk Assistant will provide you with a temporary key to access your space. Your lock will be changed the following business day, and new keys will be issued to all residents of the space. A $100 lock-change charge will apply.

  • Mobile IDs and Residential Access

    A Desk Assistant can provide you with a temporary eKey to access your building or apartment. For Mobile ID troubleshooting, visit the TigerOne website or visit an Area Desk.
