Hidden History Camp

Camp Overview

In 2024-2026, the Cemetery Hill Project held summer camps for elementary and middle school students about Hidden History at the University. We offered a variety of interactive activities for campers, including historic site tours, archaeology digs, explorations of the archives, and family history activities, all arranged to provide an unforgettable summer camp experience right on campus!

Camp Activities

The staff for Hidden History Camps built an exciting schedule of activities that engaged campers in hidden history, archaeology, genealogy, and technology:

Campus and community tours, including Memorial Stadium, Planetarium, and Historic Sites such as Fort Hill Plantation House, Cemetery Hill, Agricultural Museum of South Carolina, and more!

Archaeology Experience

Family History Activities

Historical skills, arts, and crafts such as archery, pottery, candlemaking, fabric dying, and more

Team Activities, including games!
