The 4-H Portfolio is your personal record of growth, leadership, and involvement throughout your 4-H year. It’s a space to reflect on your experiences, showcase your accomplishments, and begin building a strong foundation for future opportunities like scholarships, college applications, and job references.

Completing your portfolio each year helps you:

  • Earn county awards
  • Prepare for the state portfolio as a Senior
  • Build a valuable reference for future applications

You can use the provided format or create your own—just make sure it aligns with the scoring rubric included in the booklet. This is your chance to tell your 4-H story in your own voice. While support is available from family and leaders, the work should reflect your effort and perspective.

  • Portfolio Interviews

Seniors: Required to participate in an interview.

Juniors: Interview is optional but offers bonus points and great experience.
