Volunteer in the Garden

Our volunteer hours are flexible and dependent on your area of interest. Typically, volunteer hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, there are regular weekend opportunities through our Garden Ambassador program as well as special events and educational programs held outside of business hours.

We truly appreciate our volunteers! Upon completion of 75 volunteer hours, you will receive a 10% discount at the Plant Sale. If you become a Friend of the Garden too, you can shop early with your additional discount at the Friend's Plant Sale.

In addition to submitting a completed digital application, please email your completed Liability Waiver and Volunteer Agreement to  Allison Kelly,  akelly4@clemson.edu .

You will be contacted to schedule an initial meeting to discuss your interests and availability and to complete the process.

NOTE: Clemson University requires a background check for all volunteers.

Community Service

Options of three starting times for community service are 8:00AM, 11:00AM and 1:00PM Monday - Friday only.

Please contact Jamie Rutherford, ( jdruthe@clemson.edu) with time block available and hours needed, and he will arrange to meet you at one of the times above.
