International Services provides immigration services and support for all international students, faculty, and scholars at Clemson University. 

International Services continues to work remotely. However, we are here for you!

We have developed the following ways to communicate with our office without having to come in person to 108 Long Hall.

  • Email: Per our normal operating procedures, we are monitoring and responding to emails sent to is@clemson.edu.
  • Phone/Voicemail: If you phone 864-656-3614, please leave a voicemail. In this voicemail, leave your name, CUID, and phone number. We will respond to voicemails via email.
  • Advising via Live Chat on IS Website: Click on the textbox icon in the lower right corner of this page to submit your questions to our International Student Advising team.

International Services follows normal university business hours, Monday- Friday 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. EST and is closed on University holidays and during inclement weather events.

Advising Hours

Virtual Immigration Advising hours are: Monday through Thursday from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. EST

International Services is currently not offering in-person advising or walk-in services. Virtual Advising through Zoom provides the opportunity to discuss questions about your visa status directly with an international services expert. Our advisers are available at the times advertised above to provide virtual advising through Zoom. You will join the waiting room and then be admitted by an IS advisor to answer your question(s) in a private virtual setting. If you have a more complicated question that will take longer than 15 minutes, please email is@clemson.edu to schedule a separate call with an advisor. All students with questions related to CPT and/or OPT are requested to join the specific sessions outlined below.

Virtual OPT Q&A Schedule:

International Services offers weekly OPT Q&A sessions, which allows students to join a Zoom session at the scheduled block of time and ask OPT-related questions to one of our advisors. There is no need to make an appointment, but students are required to review the Online OPT Tutorial (linked in the iStart Portal) and prepare your questions ahead of time. The schedule for the upcoming OPT Q&A sessions is posted on our website here.

Virtual CPT Q&A Schedule:

International Services offers weekly CPT Q&A sessions, which allows students to join a Zoom session at the scheduled block of time and ask CPT-related questions to one of our advisors. There is no need to make an appointment, but students are required to review the CPT guidance and prepare questions ahead of time. The schedule for the upcoming CPT Q&A sessions is posted on our website here.

After Hours Emergency Contact

If you are off-campus and have a police, fire, or medical emergency, phone 911 for immediate assistance.

For travel emergencies, after normal business hours, please contact Clemson University's Police Department (CUPD) at (864) 656-2222. A member of the IS team will be contacted to assist with emergency situations.
