Student Opportunities
The Department of Industrial Engineering is committed to offering a variety of opportunities that help to contribute to the success of our students. From academic advising to study abroad, we provide many experiential learning opportunities to prepare for a career or graduate study. Options include internships that reach beyond theoretical and apply the rules of thumb in practice, studying abroad to work on transportation logistics, and being part of a creative inquiry project to provide recommendations for the Clemson SAE Formula 1 and Baja work areas.

Get Involved
We encourage our students to try a variety of new experiences. From club sports, to networking, to research, each opportunity allows you to make connections and gain valuable skills.
2026 IISE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference
Clemson University February 20-22, 2026
The IISE Student Chapter is excited to welcome Industrial and Systems Engineering students and professionals from across the Mid-Atlantic region to the home of the Tigers for this year’s conference, themed “Innovating the Impossible.”
In addition to the conference, our attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals representing the sponsoring organizations of the 2026 Conference. For students, it offers a valuable opportunity to engage directly with employers, explore potential career paths, and gain insight into the diverse opportunities within the field.
