Police Department

Message from the Chief

It is a pleasure to present the Clemson University Police Department’s (CUPD) 2025 Annual Report. This publication highlights the diverse and meaningful work members of our department have accomplished over the past year. Our mission of enhancing safety, reducing risk, and preventing harm from affecting the Clemson University shines throughout this report.

The care and compassion for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors has been apparent from all of our employees on a daily basis. Many of the awards our staff has received are highlighted throughout this document and each contribute to a safer Clemson. Through educating members of our community through outreach efforts, we seek to build partnerships to create a safe learning environment.

Last year, CUPD was re-accredited through the Commission on Accredited Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), meaning we have proven that we have a foundation for public safety built on national best practices. Additionally, several of our members attended command-level training to hone their skills and ensure CUPD remains at the forefront of new ideas and technology.

As we move into 2026, our officers and professional staff will remain focused on working with others throughout the University and in the Department of Public Safety to create a safe environment for learning and education. My challenge to you all as CUPD seeks to truly engage with all members of our community, please be sure to introduce yourself when you see us out, invite us to participate in your functions, or look to attend one of our events in 2026. After all, a Clemson person needs no introduction!

Take care and Go Tigers!
