As a proud member of the Clemson University Family, I, _________________ , understand that my choices have the power to protect my life and the lives of my friends and my fellow Tigers. With the 2025-26 academic year beginning, I’m making a powerful commitment to lead by example and put safety first now and throughout the year.
From this day forward, I pledge to:
- Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs because one reckless moment can change a life forever.
- Always choose a safe way home, whether that’s a designated sober driver or rideshare.
- Stand up for my fellow Tigers by stepping in when someone’s at risk and helping them make smart choices.
- Be a voice for safety and responsibility because real leadership starts with doing what’s right, even when it’s difficult.
- Reject hazing in all forms—physical, emotional or psychological—because true belonging is built on respect, not harm.
Every day is a chance to make memories, yet also a moment to make the right choices. By signing this pledge, I’m choosing courage, community and Tiger pride. I’m choosing to protect what matters most, starting today and continuing all year long.
