Profile/About Me

My name is Lauren Henderson and I am a fifth year PhD student at Clemson University. I obtained my Masters degree from Clemson in 2024, titled "Bounding the Convex Hull Relaxation of the Unit Commitment Problem with the Shapley-Folkman Theorem", which is publicly available through Clemson (linked below). Since obtaining my Masters, I have been continuing my work with my advisor, Dr. Cheng Guo. My research interests center around power systems, specifically unit commitment and electricity market pricing through convex relaxation and uncertainty.

In addition to my work at Clemson, I have been a PhD intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since May of 2025. I have continued to work with the lab during my PhD studies, allowing me to gain hands-on experience with relevant industry problems. I mainly work on wind resource adequacy and power systems under uncertainty. One of my projects at the lab has been expanding the open source time series validation tool, WE-Validate (GitHub linked below).
