Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Complex

The Snow Complex is all about getting outside and is Clemson University’s premiere lake front recreation area, emerging as one of the finest outdoor facilities in the nation. While the complex is open sunrise to sunset, hours vary for the various amenities onsite. Also please check our Facilities Map below.

Parking at the Snow Complex is now enforced by Clemson University Parking and Transportation Services. Student, faculty, staff, west park n ride, and single-day pass holders may park in the P-6 lot. Students, faculty, and staff may park in the LoConte gravel lot. Parking on grass areas or along streets is prohibited. Ticketing and towing is enforced. Please contact Clemson University Parking and Transportation Services to purchase a parking pass or for questions on parking at the Snow Complex.

Anyone accessing the Snow Complex must present university credentials at the main entrance. 

  • Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center (Andy's)

    Home to the CORE program, Andy's is a 16,000 square foot facility located towards the back side of the Snow Complex that offers adventure trip resources and rentals, a bike repair shop, and exceptional lounge space for students to study or relax. It provides a variety of outdoor recreation equipment for enjoyment of the lake and waterfront areas. Canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, yard games, frisbees, footballs, etc. may be rented during open building hours

  • Outdoor Fire Pit

    This outdoor fire pit is available during Andy's open hours for drop-in use by Clemson students, faculty, and staff. Surrounding the fit are several chairs and natural amphitheater style seating. The maximum capacity for this area is 50 people. This site can be reserved for private events when available.

  • Beach Area

    This lakefront beach area is a designated swimming space from May through September. Participants are encouraged to swim within the roped boundaries. Additionally, Clemson students, faculty, and staff may choose to relax in the sand or grass areas of the beachfront and can do so during Snow Complex open hours.

  • Sand Volleyball Court

    At the beachfront area, this outdoor sand volleyball court is available for drop-in use by Clemson students, faculty, and staff. Balls and other equipment can be checked out during Andy's open hours

  • LoConte Family Field

    This synthetic turf field is utilized primarily by the intramural and club sports programs to host events such as flag football, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, or ultimate frisbee. This site can be reserved for private events when available. Total field dimensions are 135 yards x 92 yards.

  • Championship Field

    This synthetic turf field is utilized primarily by the intramural and club sports programs to host events such as flag football, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, or ultimate frisbee - but is also available during daytime hours for drop-in use by Clemson students, faculty, and staff. This site can be reserved for private events when available. Total field dimensions are 145 yards x 106 yards.

  • Davidson Field

    This synthetic turf field is utilized for smaller intramural activities such as wiffleball or spike ball and is often used as a warmup or overflow area for club sport events. It is also available during daytime hours for drop-in use by Clemson students, faculty, and staff. This site can be reserved for private events when available. Total field dimensions are 80 yards x 50 yards.

  • Reed Field

    This synthetic turf softball field is utilized primarily by the intramural and club sports programs to host fast or slow pitch softball. This site can be reserved for private events when available. Field length includes 275 feet from home plate to each foul pole.
