Office of Career and Global Engagement

Employee Resources for Student Hiring

Faculty and staff are a vital component to a student's life while at Clemson, therefore, the Office of Career and Global Engagement provides updated information and resources for our employees related to current employment trends, legal and ethical issues and career development in order to provide the best guidance possible when advising students on career-related issues.

When working with employers or students, college employees should be familiar with the complicated legal and ethical issues related to student recruiting. Our office supports and suggests that faculty members utilize the resources provided on this page when faced with recruiters asking for "top" students, promoting positions or when students ask for references or recommendations.

Let the Office of Career and Global Engagement help you with topics related to:

  • Internships (Paid vs. Unpaid, etc.)
  • Employer Engagement
  • Working with Recruiters
  • Serving as a Reference
  • Legal and Ethical Issues for Employment
