Profile

Amelia B. Clinkscales worked in Health Education and Corporate Wellness for Prisma Health (formerly Palmetto Health Alliance), BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, and Michelin prior to becoming a Lecturer for Furman University where she taught for five years. Clinkscales transitioned to teaching for Clemson University in 2015 and became Undergraduate Director for the Department of Public Health Sciences in Fall 2019. She has held or currently holds the following certifications: MCHES Master Certified Health Education Specialist; AFAA Athletics and Fitness Association of America, Group Fitness Instructor; ACSM American College of Sports Medicine, Certified Exercise Physiologist; NSCA National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist; AHA American Heart Association, Basic Life Support (BLS); YogaFit Level 1. Clinkscales has been certified to teach group exercise classes for 18 years. While she can teach anything from an interval class to yoga, her passion is for cycling. Ride with her at the Prisma Health Life Center in Greenville at 5:45 a.m. on Friday mornings!
