ProfileMy students and I study how well people see when they are in visually challenging conditions. For example, we've done on-road studies at night that measure how poorly drivers are at seeing pedestrians and bicyclists from a safe distance. We've also applied basic perceptual science to discover ways that pedestrians and bicyclists can be more safe by making themselves more conspicuous to drivers at night. | |
