As a Lecturer in the Department of Communication, Amanda instructs over eighty students each semester, providing them with an overview of theoretical approaches to the study of communication and public speaking. In her role, she implements practical instruction in public speaking, assists students in developing and understanding the process of communication and provides students with one-on-one instruction. Additionally, she serves as the Associate Director of the Social Media Listening Center, on the Department of Communication Basic Courses Committee, on the Southern Margins Film Festival Committee and as a member of the Faculty Friends program. Previously, Amanda served as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Loggerhead Marinelife Center. In her role, she primarily focused on creating strategic advertising campaigns and promotions for targeting new local and global audiences, as well as securing grants for the organization. Throughout her studies and work experience, she has developed a passion for strategy and research with an emphasis on digital platforms.
