I joined the faculty of Clemson Nursing part-time in 2016 and was blessed to become a full-time lecturer in 2021. I continue to practice as a family nurse practitioner since my graduation from Clemson University with my post-masters certificate in 2011. My nurse practitioner background includes nursing administration roles in addition to serving as the provider liaison. I am very excited to help place nurse practitioner students with primary care preceptors through the ANEW grant. This grant seeks to increase the number of culturally competent NP primary care providers in the Upstate Appalachian Upstate region of South Carolina. I also work diligently to connect our advanced practice students with preceptors in the community while also precepting students myself, one of my greatest joys. In my spare time, you will find me enjoying time with my children, renovating my 80 year old home, baking, and of course, cheering on the Clemson Tigers.
