Kimberly Kamp Hill RN, BSN, CHSE is the Associate Director of Simulation at Clemson University School of Nursing. Prior to her current role, Kim managed the Edwards Hall Nursing Simulation Lab and has worked in nursing simulation for 5 years. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and an active member of the South Carolina Nursing Education Simulation Alliance (SCNESA) where she serves on the education planning committee. Kim was a Certified Cardiovascular Care Coordinator by the American College of Cardiology until December 2020 and has 24 years of Critical Care Experience. Before coming "back home to Clemson" in 2018, she served as the Chest Pain Center Coordinator for an upstate health system. This role involved coordinating several multi-disciplinary teams, tracking outcomes data, and providing education in the Cardiac Arrest, Hypothermia, ACS/Chest Pain, and STEMI populations. Kimberly was vital in placing Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) in rural areas of Anderson and Pickens counties to increase survival rates for cardiac arrest victims. In addition, Kim led a project to place 5 emergency call towers, with temperature-controlled AED’s around the AnMed Health Campus walking track, which serves the community and a large volume of cardiac rehab patients. Kimberly is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with the American Heart Association where she served as an instructor until December 2020, a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), a member of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL), a member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and completed the National League for Nursing (NLN) Coaching for Excellence course focusing on reflective learning & feedback for the novice nurse. Kim was recently inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Gamma Mu chapter, and is involved with Nursing Christian Fellowship on campus. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Clemson University.
