Health Science Administration with a Minor in Business | ProfileKatie Poplin is the Associate Director of Clinical Research for Clemson Rural Health. Katie leads the implementation and management of clinical trials across all Clemson Rural Health clinics and mobile units. She started her career at an academic medical center and held positions as a clinical research coordinator and an IRB coordinator. Katie also has experience on the sponsor side of clinical research and worked closely in the site feasibility process. Her previous involvement in research ranges from randomized control trials, observational studies, registries, and more. Katie is passionate about the patient's experience in a clinical trial, and ensuring ethical responsibility is maintained by everyone involved: the researchers, the medical providers, and the patients. |
