Profile

Twelve years of experience in protected areas management, especially focused on invasive species removal, reintroduction of endangered species, and designing and conducting visitors' learning experiences. Research interests include understanding, planning, and managing recreational visitor use; understanding visitor behavioral intentions and spatiotemporal movement; sustainable tourism, nature-based mindfulness practices, and interpretative planning. Methods, tools, and concepts used in research include normative theory, indicator/thresholds-based planning frameworks (e.g., Visitor Use Management framework), automated field cameras, vehicle and trail counters, trail assessment, visual simulations, and social data collection techniques (e.g., surveys).
