Educational BackgroundPh.D., Biomedical Data Science and Informatics B.S., Mathematics and Economics | ProfileI am an AI/ML engineer who can speak in public health sciences. I have been leading a multi-institutional team of health scientists, medical informaticians, and computer scientists towards one shared goal; we seek to revolutionize health interventions through technologies. Our endeavors have naturally led us to explore the fairness and explainability of AI/ML applications, along with strategies to leash them away from potential harm or disparate impacts against vulnerable populations. My team's presence in the PHS Department represents the department's openness and dedication to the future of public health in the era of artificial intelligence. |
