Educational BackgroundBS Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management | ProfileTavaghn Monts works with Clemson University's Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management Department and is Associate Director of Momentum Bike Clubs, a group mentoring initiative for middle school and high school students in Greenville and Pickens Counties where youth may face multiple risk factors including persistent poverty, parental incarceration and/or instability in their home life. Tavaghn Monts is also the Assistant Director of Community Collaboration for the REYSE Collaboratory. The Race, Ethnicity, Youth and Social Equity (REYSE) Collaboratory at Clemson University is an interdisciplinary group of researchers and community scholars conducting research and providing programming to improve the lives of racial and ethnic youth living in diverse communities. A native of Jacksonville Florida, Tavaghn earned his Bachelors in Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management from Clemson University. Tavaghn and his wife, Kelly, are residents of Greenville. |
