The Department of Physics and Astronomy currently has more than 25 faculty members who teach and do research in a broad range of sub-fields, including astrophysics, atomic physics, atmospheric physics, biophysics, condensed matter physics and foundational quantum mechanics. Many of our faculty are well known nationally and internationally.

Assistant Professors

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Clemson University invites applications for up to two tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor or higher level, with an anticipated start date of August 15, 2024. The department is seeking applications from individuals with expertise in experimental quantum condensed matter physics. The successful candidates will be expected to establish vigorous externally funded research programs and to teach effectively physics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
