Profile/About Me
I am a Senior Lecturer in Physics and Astronomy. I am a non-tenure-track faculty whose focus is on the teaching mission of the university. I work with students in general education physics courses and engage them through the promotion of critical thinking, interpretation of real-world situations and assessing information. I am a faculty senate delegate, facilitator of a faculty learning community on Large Enrollment General Education Courses and am active in community outreach.
Courses Taught
Physics of Sports: (PHYS 1800) Introductory level General Education Course designed to draw students into taking physics who otherwise would have this experience. Physics knowledge is coupled with critical thinking and analysis, taking data (video, news, Journal articles) and assessing the information.
General Physics I & II (PHYS 2070 and 2080): General Education Course for pre-professional students focused on developing critical thinking, assessment and problem solving skills within physics.
