Dr. Swain is a Professor of Marketing and an inaugural Powers Distinguished Fellow. Prior to joining Clemson, he served on the faculties at Dartmouth College (Tuck School of Business), Boston University (Questrom School of Business), and Northeastern University (D'Amore-McKim School of Business). His research focuses on the roles of psychological ownership and theory-of-mind on stakeholder perceptions of companies’ offerings and initiatives. Dr. Swain has taught a variety of courses at the undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels and frequently assists organizations with branding, customer insight, and advanced analytical methods. Dr. Swain previously served as an officer in the United States Navy (submarines).
